I hope you are doing well and you found already some promising apps for this years´ WSA-mobile.

Just as a short reminder: Deadline will be July 15^th 2014.

We highly recommend to submit your nominees earlier, so the producers still have time to complete their data.

I would like to bring also 2 other calls to your attention that you could share through your channels.

This year there are 2 open calls for young people using ICTs for a social cause.

(They can also submit their projects for both).

1.)  World Summit Youth Award (WSYA)

for young people under the age of 30 coming from any UN/ UNESCO member state,

using ICTs to take action on the UN Millennium Development Goals.

The 6 categories are tied to the MDGs.

2.) European Youth Award (EYA)– Social Creativity for Social Good:

The European Youth Award – young regional sister award of WSA – is a contest for young Europeans (under 30) using digital technologies to tackle Europe’s most pressing challenges as reflected in the in the priorities of the Council of Europe and the strategy Europe 2020.
